“Sunset on the Serengeti” Roaring with Fun

On January 24, 2015, over two-hundred guests enjoyed an evening on the serengeti  at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County in support of Young & Healthy.  In tribal and bush attire, guests gathered for cocktails and a silent auction before entering the African Mammal Hall for a delicious Moroccan dinner and an exciting live auction. A long-time friend and supporter of Young & Healthy, Allen W. Mathies, Jr., M.D. was honored with the annual J. Donald Thomas Award, while tribute was paid to Chris and John Bicos, of Bicos Hospitality Group, as they accepted the inaugural Alliance Award for their contributions and efforts to help care for the children of Young & Healthy.  What a fantastic night of food, friends, fundraising and continued hope for the underserved children of the Pasadena community who need healthcare services!
