A Trusted Friend
Rosa has been a client at Young & Healthy for years, entrusting us with her insurance coverage and tax preparation. But on January 9, we received a call that would change everything. Rosa was sobbing, her voice filled with pain and fear, and we immediately asked her to come into the office. Rosa lives with her daughter and infant grandson in Altadena. To make matters even more complicated, Rosa’s income fluctuates each month, and the previous month, she had lost her Covered CA insurance. Our Insurance Specialist worked swiftly to re-enroll her in Medi-Cal, ensuring she could continue to receive treatment for her asthma, which had worsened due to the smoke from the fire.
Rosa’s long-standing relationship with Young & Healthy meant that we had the documents and information on hand to quickly help her complete the necessary paperwork – something that might have felt impossible in the chaos of her situation.
