What’s going on in there?

Using brain science to understand your child’s cognitive and emotional development

Help Young & Healthy Celebrate National Volunteer Week

It’s that time of year again!

Each year during National Volunteer Week, Young & Healthy recognizes the great efforts and hard work of the many professional volunteers (doctors, dentists, therapists, pharmacies, etc.) that provide free care and services to our under and uninsured children/clients in the greater Pasadena area.  We will recognize our volunteers this year with the delivery of a special home baked bundt cake!  To make this possible, Young & Healthy is seeking volunteers to help us bake, wrap and deliver cakes.  Please see details, below, and sign-up in advance if you are able to help.  All volunteer assistance is much appreciated!!  Contact Liz Arnold at Young & Healthy at 626-795-5166 x15 or larnold@yhpasadena.org

Calling all Bakers…300+ Bundt Cakes Needed

Bake one cake, bake five cakes, bake fifteen cakes!  Volunteers are needed to bake any type of bundt cakes for our professional providers.  Cakes need to be delivered on Wednesday, April 10 between 7:00 and 10:00am to the offices of Young & Healthy (136 W. Peoria Street, Pasadena), where we will be wrapping the cakes and sending them out for delivery to providers’ offices.  Please put cakes on a sturdy disposable plate and wrap with plastic wrap. Want to bake a cake but can’t deliver it that morning? No Problem! Contact Liz Arnold at Young & Healthy at 626-795-5166 x15 or larnold@yhpasadena.org to make other arrangements.

Cake Wrappers Needed

Volunteers are needed on Wednesday, April 10 from 7:00am-12:00pm in the offices of Young & Healthy (136 W. Peoria Street, Pasadena), to assist with the wrapping of 300+ bundt cakes.  Clear plastic wrap and ribbons will be used to beautifully wrap each cake and a special “thank you” tag will be added before the cakes go out the door for delivery.  All supplies will be provided by Young & Healthy.

Delivery Volunteers Needed

Volunteers are needed to drive and deliver bundt cakes to providers’ offices on Wednesday, April 10 from 9:00am-12:00pm.  You may deliver one cake or 20 cakes…with a friend or solo!  Provider address cards and maps will be available for all deliveries and will be within a single geographic area to minimize travel.
