A Chance Encounter
Clients don’t always walk through the doors of Young & Healthy, sometimes we walk through theirs. At a store event benefitting Young & Healthy, we met Bobbi and Vanessa, two salesclerks in their 20s. Neither had heard of our organization before and they began looking through the materials we brought. Curious, one of them asked if she might qualify for our services as she was about to age out of her parents’ health insurance and needed coverage of her own.
We explained that Young & Healthy is here to support the entire community and encouraged her to make an appointment with our Insurance Specialist. We gave her his contact information and continued enjoying the event.
In the following three months, both women reached out, scheduled appointments, and successfully secured a health insurance plan that worked for them.
Sometimes all it takes is a chance encounter to open the door to care.
